Glaucoma Management

Through unmatched resolution of the different structures at the angle, the VuMax Ultrasound Biomicroscope provides an excellent diagnostic tool for glaucoma-related concerns that cannot be evaluated by other examination methods, including assessment of angle recess amplitude (ARA), iris thickness, root of the iris morphology, ciliary body position, and more.

The ability to show the eye in motion and, in particular, the position and interrelation of the anterior segment structures during accommodation and light conditions, can be a very important evaluation tool.

Evaluation of the success and utility of post-surgical procedures such as filtering surgeries is facilitated by the VuMax through examination and assessment of the permeability of a trabeculectomy and conjuctival bleb. Additionally, the VuMax provides clear visualization of Schlemm’s canal, which has become a necessity for procedures such as viscocanalostomies.
